Lead Java Application Developer

Role Overview: As an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst, you will be responsible for participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, document, and collaborate closely with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality software within agreed project schedules. - Utilize your in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, evaluate business process, system process, and industry standards, and make judgements. - Identify problems, analyze information, and recommend/implement solutions based on evaluative judgements. - Apply your knowledge of programming languages for design specifications and serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts. - Utilize applications development procedures and concepts, along with basic knowledge of other technical areas, to identify and define necessary system enhancements. - Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, recommend programming solutions, install and support customer exposure systems. - Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues, conduct testing, and debugging. - Resolve issues by selecting solutions through acquired technical experience and guided by precedents. - Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or other team members. - Monitor and control all phases of the development process, provide user and operational support on applications to business users. Qualifications: - 8-12 years of programming/development experience in Java Microservices. - Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Cloud Platforms, CI/CD, and DevOps practices. - Strong expertise in Java (Java 11/17+), Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture. - Demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. - Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
