Lead Instructor - Backend

You will be joining Newton School of Technology, a tech education initiative aimed at redefining tech education in India. As an SDE 2/3 Instructor - Backend based in Pune, your primary responsibilities will include developing backend software solutions, providing instruction in backend development, and mentoring students. Your day-to-day tasks will involve coding, debugging, and designing scalable backend systems, along with creating curriculum materials, delivering lectures, and offering hands-on guidance to students. Key Responsibilities: - Design and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions on Backend topics like Node.js, Express.js, Databases, API design, and MERN Stack. - Conduct and manage lab sessions to provide students with hands-on backend coding experience. - Collaborate with faculty members, researchers, and industry partners to enhance the backend curriculum. - Mentor students, assist with backend project work, and ensure academic growth. - Collaborate with university administrators and Newton School representatives to drive innovation. - Encourage students to engage in cutting-edge backend research and industry collaborations. Qualifications & Experience: - 4-10 years of experience as a Software Developer focusing on Backend Development, specifically MERN Stack. - Proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, Databases (SQL/NoSQL), and API design with a knack for picking up new technologies quickly. - Strong understanding of backend development concepts such as server-side architecture, RESTful APIs, authentication, and performance optimization. - Ability to explain complex backend concepts in simple terms to students. - Adaptability to learn and teach core computer science topics. Good-to-Have: - Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level. - Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and academic tools. - Experience in software development and system design.
