Lead II - Enterprise Solutions (Salesforce Heroku Developer)

As a Salesforce Heroku Developer at UST, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting the Salesforce Cloud to AWS migration initiatives. Your responsibilities will include designing, building, and supporting Heroku applications integrated with Salesforce CRM. Moreover, you will lead the technical implementation of Salesforce Cloud to AWS migration projects and re-architect existing Heroku apps/services to align with AWS infrastructure. Developing APIs, data pipelines, and middleware for Salesforce-Heroku-AWS integrations will also be a key part of your role. Collaboration with DevOps and Cloud teams to build scalable and secure CI/CD pipelines will be essential, along with troubleshooting and optimizing performance for Heroku-based and AWS-hosted services. Creating and maintaining architecture documentation and technical delivery guides will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must possess strong hands-on experience with the Salesforce Heroku platform, proficiency in Ruby on Rails, and experience in migrating applications from Salesforce Cloud or Heroku to AWS. Solid knowledge of Apex, Heroku Connect, Postgres, and API integrations is required, along with working knowledge of AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB. Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS), as well as strong programming skills in Node.js, Python, or Java, will be beneficial. Additionally, experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Git is necessary. Possessing Salesforce Platform Developer and/or Heroku Architecture Designer certification, experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation, and knowledge of data security, governance, and compliance in cloud environments are considered good-to-have skills. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps culture will also be advantageous. The ideal candidate for this role should have 6-10 years of total experience, with at least 3+ years of experience on Heroku and AWS integration projects.
