Lead I - Software Engineering-Data Platform Engineer

You are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Platform Engineer with 4 to 10 years of experience in designing, building, and architecting highly resilient and scalable data platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to design and build resilient, scalable, and high-performance data platforms using modern data engineering technologies. You will work across platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and Kafka to develop and manage large-scale data pipelines and processing systems. Additionally, you will build and maintain applications deployed on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and optimize backend applications that are data- or computation-intensive. To excel in this role, you must have 4 to 10 years of experience in data engineering and architecture. Hands-on experience in Databricks, Snowflake, and Kafka is essential, along with strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python. A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and an interest in Functional Programming concepts are required. You should also have good knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems. Familiarity with tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, and Agile/Scrum methodologies will be advantageous. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience in financial services or understanding of financial products will be a plus. Previous work on grid-based computation systems or real-time data streaming platforms is also desirable.
