Lead I - Data Visualization Lead

Job Description: You will be responsible for leading data visualization projects, utilizing your strong front-end development experience along with proficiency in Deck.gl, React, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Carto, JSON, API, CI/CD, and Java. Your role will involve working with large-scale datasets, geospatial data, and coordinate systems to create intuitive and accessible data visualizations for various devices. Additionally, you will demonstrate leadership skills by guiding small development teams, conducting mentoring sessions, performing code reviews, and ensuring successful project delivery. Your collaboration and communication skills will be essential in working effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize React.js and Deck.gl to develop data visualizations, including Layers, Views, and Carto integration - Demonstrate advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML/CSS, and rendering technologies like WebGL and Canvas - Work with large-scale datasets, geospatial data, coordinate systems, and data manipulation libraries such as D3.js and Lodash - Collaborate with RESTful APIs and possess proficiency in creating responsive data visualizations - Lead small development teams by providing mentorship, conducting code reviews, and ensuring project delivery - Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to create impactful data visualizations Qualifications Required: - Strong front-end development experience of 8+ years, with a minimum of 2 years focused on data visualization - Proficiency in React.js, Deck.gl, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, SQL, Carto, JSON, API, CI/CD, and Java - Experience working with large-scale datasets, geospatial data, and coordinate systems - Hands-on experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., D3.js, Lodash) and RESTful APIs - Proven leadership skills in guiding small development teams, including mentoring, code reviews, and project delivery - Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams - Ability to create intuitive, responsive, and accessible data visualizations for a variety of devices,
