Job Description

Develop detailed process design and optimization for polyester fiber/yarn production lines (melt spinning, drawing, texturizing & Material handling).
Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for fiber/yarn production lines
Material and energy balances for polymerization and spinning processes.
Perform pipe sizing and hydraulic calculations for: Polymer melt transfer (viscous, high temp) & Quench air,
Prepare technical specifications for spinning machines, winders, texturizing units, and auxiliary systems (dryers, pumps, heat exchangers).
Define operating parameters for polymer melt handling, spinning, quenching, and winding.
Implement energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions in spinning units.
Evaluate vendor proposals and ensure compliance with design standards.
Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams for integration.
Provide process engineering input during detailed engineering and construction phases.
Review and approve process-related drawings and documents.
Participate in HAZOP studies and ensure safety compliance.
Develop commissioning procedures for fiber/yarn production lines.
