Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the electrical engineering scope for a world-class fertilizer project from concept to commissioning.
• Oversee and review Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and ensure alignment with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Manage and guide detailed engineering activities in collaboration with internal teams and external EPC consultants.
• Develop, review, and approve technical specifications, SLDs, load lists, power system studies, cable schedules, lighting, grounding, and other design documents.
• Evaluate and select electrical equipment (transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, UPS, generators, etc.) in alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure adherence to relevant national and international codes (IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS, etc.) and company standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation, Process) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Coordinate with procurement for the technical review of vendor offers, participate in technical bid evaluations, FATs, and inspections.
• Provide site support during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Lead or support HAZOPs, model reviews, and design safety assessments from an electrical perspective.
• Drive cost optimization, schedule adherence, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop a team of electrical engineers and ensure effective knowledge transfer and capability building.

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (M. Tech would be an added plus).
• 25-30 years of relevant experience in the execution of large industrial projects in fertilizer, petrochemical, or chemical sectors.
• Proven track record in handling EPC projects including FEED, detailed design, procurement, execution, and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of PowerSystems, substation design, protection systems, and electrical safety.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with tools such as ETAP, DIALux, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc. is preferred.
