Lead Developer WCAG-Compliant Web Applications

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and accessibility-driven Lead Developer to architect and implement a modern, WCAG 2.2 AA-compliant web platform using MVC (Model-View-Controller) technologies. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who is passionate about building inclusive digital experiences and has deep expertise in scalable web application development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of accessible web applications using MVC5 frameworks (ASP.NET MVC).
• Ensure all front-end and back-end components meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and content teams to deliver a seamless and inclusive user experience.
• Conduct code reviews and accessibility audits to ensure compliance and performance.
• Mentor junior developers and establish best practices for accessible coding and MVC architecture.
• Integrate accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, Pa11y, Lighthouse).
• Stay current with accessibility legislation, ASP.NET MVC framework updates, .NET C#, MS-SQL and web development trends.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack web development with a strong focus on ASP.net MVC frameworks, .NET C# and MS-SQL.
• Proven experience delivering WCAG 2.2 AA-compliant web applications.
• Proficiency in one or more MVC frameworks (ASP.NET MVC).
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, Kendo UI and ARIA roles.
• Experience with accessibility testing tools and assistive technologies.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, version control (TFS), and CI/CD practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Accessibility certification (e.g., WAS, CPACC).
• Having experience to convert MVC\Webforms Solution to Blazor
• Experience with headless CMS or content-driven platforms.
• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
