Lead - Design & Estimation (Water)

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Engineering

• Lead and oversee the process, mechanical, and hydraulic design for water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Develop conceptual and detailed design layouts, PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic profiles, and equipment sizing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (civil, electrical, instrumentation) for integrated designs.
• Evaluate and incorporate client specifications, tender requirements, and relevant standards.
• Guide drafting teams in preparation of GA drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical documents.

Estimation & Costing

• Lead end-to-end estimation for water-related tenders and proposals (CAPEX and OPEX).
• Prepare item-wise cost breakups (materials, equipment, subcontracting, manpower, etc.).
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes for process equipment, pipelines, pumps, valves, etc.
• Optimize designs and propose cost-effective engineering solutions during bidding.
• Support proposal documentation: technical write-ups, compliance matrix, scope definition, and assumptions.

Client & Internal Coordination

• Participate in pre-bid meetings, technical discussions, and client presentations.
• Coordinate with procurement, project management, and execution teams for handover of awarded projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive team performance for on-time and accurate proposal delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering
• M.Tech / M.E. in Environmental or Water Resources Engineering (preferred)

Experience:

• 815 years of hands-on experience in design and estimation of water, wastewater, or utility projects.
• Strong track record in EPC bidding or consultancy roles for municipal or industrial water projects.

Key Skills:

• Technical expertise in WTP, STP, ETP, ZLD, RO/UF systems, and pipeline networks.
• Estimation and costing tools (MS Excel, ERP systems, Candy, SAP, etc.).
• Familiarity with design standards (IS, CPHEEO, AWWA, BIS, WHO, etc.).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, WaterGEMS, or similar software.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
