Job Description

You are a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for leading and supporting enterprise-level database initiatives. Your primary focus will be on managing SQL Server environments, implementing upgrades and migrations, integrating cloud solutions, automating processes, and driving performance improvements. Key Responsibilities - Lead enterprise-wide database upgrades, migrations, and cloud integration projects. - Administer, configure, and maintain large-scale SQL Server environments. - Design, deploy, and manage high-availability solutions and disaster recovery plans. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database integrity, performance, and security. Core Experience (Mandatory) - Over 10 years of hands-on experience managing SQL Server databases in enterprise settings. - In-depth knowledge of SQL Server version upgrades and cross-environment migrations. - Proven expertise in Azure SQL environments, including Azure SQL Managed Instance (MI) migration planning, deployment, and administration, as well as Azure IaaS for installing, configuring, and managing SQL Server on virtual machines. - Strong experience with Always On High Availability Groups, multi-subnet configurations, automatic failover setup, diagnosing and resolving availability and connectivity issues. - Solid background in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. - Expertise in query performance tuning, execution plan analysis, index strategies, blocking, and deadlock resolution. - Proficiency in using tools like Extended Events, SQL Profiler, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs) for deep-dive diagnostics.
