What You Will Do Database Management: Design, install, configure, and maintain database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Cassandra, Aerospike etc.). Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup solutions. Performance Optimization: Monitor database performance and conduct tuning for optimal efficiency. Analyze query execution plans and optimize queries for speed and resource utilization. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain data security policies to protect sensitive information. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or other industry standards. Data Integrity and Backup: Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies. Perform regular testing of backups and recovery plans. Collaboration: Work closely with developers, system administrators, and data analysts to support database-related needs. Provide guidance on database design, normalization, and data modeling. Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts and tools for database monitoring, management, and automation. Implement solutions for repetitive tasks to improve efficiency. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and impact. Act as the escalation point for complex database-related problems. What Are We Looking For Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Database Administrator. Proficiency in database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo DB, Cassandra, Aerospike, Redis etc. Strong understanding of database design principles, indexing, partitioning, and replication. Experience with database monitoring tools. Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, SQL scripting). Who Will Excel Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
