About the Role We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Scientist who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of data scientists while remaining hands-on with coding and technical work. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, full-stack development exposure, and the ability to act as both an individual contributor and a collaborative team leader. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing technical guidance and career development support. Architect, design, and implement advanced data models and machine learning solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions. Drive end-to-end development of machine learning models, from concept to production. Maintain hands-on involvement in coding, debugging, and deploying data pipelines and models. Ensure best practices in coding, model deployment, and cloud infrastructure usage. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the team. Qualifications Bachelors or masters degree in metallurgy, mechanical, or a related field from IIT, NIT or top university. 8+ years of experience in data science and machine learning, with at least 2+ years of team leadership experience. Experience in metal industry, manufacturing industry or similar industry exposure Technical Skills Strong Python programming skills with expertise in libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Proven full-stack development experience, including backend systems, REST APIs, and front-end integration. Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for deployment and scaling of models. Solid understanding of DevOps practices for machine learning (MLOps). Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage and guide a team effectively.
