Lead - Cloud Reliability Engineer

Your role as a DRI (directly responsible individual) involves leading technical execution, troubleshooting, and engineering proactive, automated solutions for reliable cloud operations. Key Responsibilities: - Own Service Reliability: Act as the go-to technical expert for 24/7 cloud operations and incident management, ensuring strict adherence to SLOs and delivering a superior client experience through high-stakes troubleshooting. - Engineer the Blueprint: Translate client needs into scalable, automated, and secure cloud architectures, maintaining operational playbooks and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for daily use by the squad. - Automate with Intelligence: Lead the implementation of AI-driven automation, predictive monitoring, and AIOps to eliminate toil, preempt incidents, and enhance operational efficiency. - Drive FinOps & Impact: Execute the FinOps framework by analyzing, configuring, and optimizing cloud spend for clients through hands-on engineering efforts. - Be the Expert in the Room: Share knowledge through internal demos, documentation, and technical deep dives, representing expertise that simplifies operational complexity into business resilience. - Mentor & Elevate: Provide technical mentorship to peers through code reviews and collaborative problem-solving to foster a high-performing squad embodying the Always Hardened mindset. Qualification Required: - Cloud Operations Pedigree: Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with a substantial portion in cloud managed services. - Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to build and scale a net-new managed services business successfully. - Client-Facing Tech Acumen: At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing technical role, serving as a trusted advisor for cloud operations, security, and reliability.
