Responsibilities Develop and implement reliable, scalable cloud solutions on GCP in alignment with architectural standards Build and deploy Java-based applications utilizing GCP-native services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Firestore, Cloud SQL, and Pub/Sub Design detailed application architecture plans that align with the organization’s objectives Select and configure GCP services to meet both functional and operational requirements Demonstrate expertise in GCP’s platform services, serverless technologies, and database solutions Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teams during all stages of project execution Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to security and compliance requirements Continuously enhance cloud solutions to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency Stay updated on advancements in GCP technologies and incorporate relevant updates into projects Work with GCP GenAI tools, including Vertex AI and Gemini models Incorporate front-end technologies such as Angular or React when required Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or similar roles Minimum of 1 year of experience in managing and leading technical teams Proven ability to design, deploy, and maintain applications on GCP Strong expertise in GCP services, including GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Firebase, Apigee, and App Engine Familiarity with GCP AI tools like Vertex AI and Gemini Code Assist Knowledge of additional GCP services such as Memorystore, Service Mesh, and Cloud Monitoring Deep understanding of cloud security practices and experience implementing security measures in GCP environments Thorough knowledge of cloud architecture principles and industry best practices Experience working with DevOps tools and automation platforms like Terraform Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher Nice to have Experience working with large-scale data processing and analytics in cloud environments Knowledge of multi-cloud strategies and hybrid cloud solutions Proven experience mentoring and training teams in cloud technologies and best practices We offer International projects with top brands Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers Healthcare benefits Employee financial programs Paid time off and sick leave Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses Global career opportunities Volunteer and community involvement opportunities Opportunity to join and participate in life of EPAM's Employee Resource Groups EPAM Employee Groups Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn Show more Show less
