Job Description

You will be responsible for leading the analysis of Electronics Components as a Lead Category Analyst, collaborating with Global Category managers. Your strong background in Electronics engineering and experience in the Global supply chain, along with knowledge of digital tools, will enable you to provide detailed insights into the analysis of Electronics Components concerning cost, lifecycle, supplier base, and usage across Eaton product lines. Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with Suppliers, Category Managers, and Engineers to ensure the continuity of the supply chain and optimize costs. You will work closely with engineers to enhance component selection and sourcing. Additionally, you will track market trends and innovations, staying informed about emerging technologies and advancements in components. Your role will involve assessing supply chain risks related to shortages, obsolescence, or disruptions and proposing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions. Implementing real-time analytics to monitor component availability and pricing will be crucial for providing decision support to category managers. You will also be responsible for data analytics, gathering information from various supply chain sources to identify trends and patterns for improvement. Supporting category managers in negotiations, contracts with suppliers, and working capital improvements based on data-driven insights will be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will analyze the quality of electronic component data received from suppliers and provide actionable insights to category managers. Your role will involve supporting on annual RFQ, negotiations, price increase, escalation handling, and shortage management. Improving resiliency for core parts, including buffer inventory and consignment discussions with plants and suppliers, will be essential. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Masters in Electronics/E&TC - Total relevant work experience of 9+ years Skills: - Understanding of electronic component specifications, lifecycles, and industry standards - Awareness of applicable standards and environmental compliances such as IEC, UL, ISO, RoHS, REACH, etc. - Sound knowledge of spend data analysis - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Additional Skills: - Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Silicon Expert, or specialized software for electronic component data analysis - Experience in a global business environment, strategic thinking, and drive for results - Strong communication skills, influencing skills, and a digital mindset - Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams,
