Job Description

As a Lead Biz Ops Engineer at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in the Next Edge BizOps team by spearheading the DevOps automation initiatives and enhancing the CI/CD pipeline. Your primary responsibilities will include solving complex problems, automating manual tasks, and driving operational excellence through the adoption of best practices. Your key focus will be on collaborating with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and product to streamline operational processes and ensure the platform's production readiness. By working closely with developers, you will design, implement, and support technology services while upholding operational standards such as system availability, capacity, performance, and deployment automation. In this role, you will be instrumental in leading the DevOps transformation at Mastercard by advocating for change, promoting standards, and championing automation across various organizational levels. You will actively engage in daily operations, emphasizing proactive measures to enhance the customer experience and optimize the value delivered by supported applications. Your role will encompass analyzing ITSM activities, providing operational feedback to development teams, and supporting services throughout their lifecycle. By monitoring system health, optimizing performance, and driving automation, you will contribute to the scalability and reliability of systems while promoting a culture of continuous improvement. As a Lead Biz Ops Engineer, you will be expected to collaborate with a global team, mentor junior resources, and actively participate in incident response and postmortem activities. Your qualifications should include a BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, expertise in coding and scripting, and proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Git/BitBucket, Jenkins, and Chef. To excel in this role, you must possess strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a proactive mindset towards automation and operational efficiency.
