Lead AVP , RC AI and Analytics

As a Lead AVP in RC AI and Analytics at HSBC, your role is crucial in reporting RC AI & Analytics scorecard and key performance indicators accurately and in a timely manner. You will play a significant part in promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making, ensuring alignment between short-term decisions and long-term vision. Your responsibilities will also include aiding the business in managing regulatory risk more effectively through the adoption of data science such as AI/ML and advanced analytics. Additionally, you will be involved in supporting communication and engagement with stakeholders to enhance understanding and adoption of data science products and services, as well as researching opportunities. Collaboration with other analytics teams to share insights and best practices is essential, fostering an open and agile delivery culture within the organization. You will be expected to communicate complex analytical solutions effectively to the wider department, facilitating a strong transfer of key findings and intelligence. **Key Responsibilities:** - Report RC AI & Analytics scorecard and key performance indicators accurately and in a timely manner. - Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making. - Help manage regulatory risk through adoption of data science. - Support communication and engagement with stakeholders. - Collaborate with other analytics teams to share insight and best practices. - Foster a collaborative, open, and agile delivery culture. - Communicate complex analytical solutions effectively to the wider department. **Qualifications Required:** - University degree in technology, data analytics, or related discipline, or relevant work experience in computer or Data Science. - Understanding of Regulatory Compliance, risks, and experience in deploying controls and analytics to manage those risks. - Experience in Financial Services (preferably within a tier one bank) or related industry. - Knowledge of the HSBC Group structure, its business and personnel, and HSBC's corporate culture. - Experience of agile development and contribution to strategy and innovation. - Solid understanding of applied mathematics, statistics, data science principles, and advanced computing (machine learning, modeling, NLP, and Generative AI). - Experience working within the Hadoop ecosystem, along with strong technical skills in analytical languages such as Python and SQL. Specific knowledge of GCP, AWS, Azure, Spark, and/or graph theory is advantageous. - Experience with visualization tools and techniques including Qlik and Tableau. - Solid understanding of data & architecture concepts including cloud, ETL, Ontology, Data Modeling. - Experience using JIRA, GIT, Confluence, Teams, Slack, Advanced Excel.
