Job Description

As a Lead Assistant Vice President- Analytics at HSBC, you will play a crucial role in producing analytical and data asset prototypes, collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, definitions, and objectives. You will support the design and development of data assets, including data analysis and transformation logic. Your responsibilities will also include applying advanced analytics to portfolio data, with a focus on data remediation and enhancing data quality, completeness, and consistency. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in business and data design principles, risk management, and technology architecture when engaging with delivery partners. You may need to deputize for Product Owners in overseeing the change plan for data requirements in the assigned Agile POD, including backlog prioritization. Additionally, you will act as an ambassador in ensuring that credit data definitions are well-documented and applied across relevant processes. Your role will require hands-on experience with advanced programming languages such as Python or Pyspark, as well as proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Qliksense. You should be a subject matter expert with a strong understanding of Credit and Lending processes, backed by 6-10 years of relevant experience. Expertise in data management, analytics, and familiarity with large company structures, values, and processes are essential for success in this position. As a Lead Assistant Vice President- Analytics, you will collaborate with various stakeholder groups to ensure the availability and quality of data. Your responsibilities will also include providing guidance on technology and big data, troubleshooting data issues, and managing the transition of data assets to production state effectively. Proven experience in leading delivery across diverse environments, stakeholder management, and effective communication skills are key requirements for this role. To excel in this position, you should possess skills in virtual team management, data analysis, agile methodology, and a solid understanding of credit models within the Credit & Lending journey. Experience in stakeholder management, the use of Agile tools like JIRA & Confluence, and industry-recognized technical certifications are considered beneficial for this role. A master's degree or equivalent experience, along with a background in Risk Management, Finance, or Banking, would be desirable.
