Chapter Leader - Configurator Applications
As Lead Architect, you will design scalable, high-performance systems that support business goals and ensure technical excellence across teams. You'll enable Marketing, Sales, and customers with intuitive, manufacturable product configuration tools, ensuring a seamless eCommerce journey. Your work will promote reuse, interoperability, and integration across the ABB EL eCommerce ecosystem and third-party platforms.
Key Responsibilities:- Define the end-to-end architecture for eCommerce platform and its integration with multiple ABB tools, configurators, and services, ensuring alignment with ABBs enterprise architecture strategy.
- Own and maintain the solution architecture lifecycle from requirements gathering and design, through documentation and governance, to evolution and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the technical design of complex integrations with internal systems and external vendor solutions.
- Support end-to-end delivery of multi-organization initiatives, ensuring coordinated releases across distributed teams and vendor partners.
- Ensure solution designs adhere to security best practices, data privacy requirements, and ABBs technical roadmap.
- Partner with internal Security and external Pen Test vendors to identify and mitigate risks.
- Provide architecture guidance and mentorship to development teams, enabling high-quality and sustainable delivery.
- Collaborate with Product Owner, Product Architects, UX designers, and developers to ensure the platform supports the long-term product vision.
- Conduct architecture reviews and identify optimization opportunities for performance, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, frameworks, and integration patterns, applying best practices to eCommerce architecture.
Candidate Requirements:- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience as a Solution Architect, Integration Architect, or Lead Developer in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
- Extensive history of delivering integration-heavy, modular platforms across multiple products and services, including legacy architecture modernization.
- Deep expertise in designing high-performance web applications using .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core/MVC, WCF, and modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Azure services, Docker, and Kubernetes (AKS); relevant certifications are a plus.
- Comfortable working in global, multi-vendor Agile environments with profficient communication skills to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Ownership-driven mindset with problem-solving abilities and an interest in creating intuitive, high-quality B2B/B2C user experiences.
