Lead Application Developer

As a Systems Development Team Lead at UPS, you will be responsible for providing leadership in full systems lifecycle management. This includes analyzing technical requirements, designing, coding, testing, and implementing systems and applications software. Your key role will involve ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints. You will be directing component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements and ensure compliance. Additionally, you will be developing and leading AD project activities and integrations, guiding teams for effective communication and objective achievement. Your responsibilities will also include researching and supporting the integration of emerging technologies, providing knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance. You will lead junior team members with project-related activities and tasks, guide and influence department and project teams, and facilitate collaboration with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Support the maintenance, development, and support of the APCS, collaborating between the Application Team, Interfacing Application, Business Users, and Support Groups. - Develop a deep understanding of the application and the interfacing applications, including support and maintenance of the application infrastructure, support of security patches, participation/leading OS upgrades, and Production Support for End User technical issues. - Development activities may involve updating applications to support new countries and maintaining a secure application to mitigate risks as determined by Netsparker and/or SonarQube. - Involvement in Agile development, including the analysis of requirements, estimating, design, code, test, and deployment to meet business requirements. - Collaborate with the team and support the integration of emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives.
