The Learning Program Lead at Avalara drives enterprise-wide learning strategies supporting top priorities such as Customer Experience, Employee Experience, Automation, and Global Scalability. Reporting to the Director of CCO Learning & Development, this role collaborates with senior leaders to shape talent outcomes, lead impactful programs, and achieve measurable results. It is a visible position ideal for individuals adept at connecting learning strategy with business transformation. Your role involves overseeing global learning programs aligned with Avalara's strategic pillars to ensure they yield measurable outcomes. You will engage with senior stakeholders to assess learning needs and propose scalable, tailored solutions. Coordinating vendors or internal partners, you will facilitate the delivery of learning experiences with minimal hands-on instructional design. Reporting on program effectiveness using clear metrics and driving continuous improvement based on feedback and performance data are key responsibilities. Additionally, you will work across teams to align learning efforts with business priorities and foster successful adoption. To excel in this role, you should possess 8-14 years of experience in Learning & Development, demonstrating a successful track record in leading enterprise-wide learning initiatives. Your background should include evaluating learning needs, influencing senior stakeholders in a consultative manner, and implementing strategic learning solutions within large-scale transformation or leadership development projects. Proficiency in instructional design frameworks and learning technologies is essential, along with the ability to guide both internal and external partners. Strong communication and collaboration skills in a global, cross-functional setting, coupled with the capability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth organization with shifting priorities, are also crucial for success.
