Description
You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in remote infrastructure management, with at least 6 years of working experience supporting both Desktop and Server virtualization. Your proficiency should include working experience in Citrix XenApp & Xendesktop, Xen Server implementation, and configuration. It is essential that you possess knowledge in troubleshooting and resolving issues in an Enterprise Citrix environment, which includes Web interface, Application enumeration, performance issues, printing, and provisioning. Additionally, you will be responsible for resolving all technical incidents escalated by the L-2 team. Your role will involve analyzing Change Requests, reviewing them with clients and stakeholders, validating information, and executing high complexity, critical, and emergency changes. You will also participate in Problem Management review meetings, provide root cause analysis, and drive Incident Review bridges by identifying potential Problems and recommending solutions to be implemented. Ensuring SLA compliance and availability of services will be a key responsibility, along with work experience on migration/upgradation projects and the ability to publish applications in a presentation server and test application connectivity. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial within the team and with stakeholders. A good knowledge of ITIL processes is required, along with technical certification in Citrix and possession of ITIL certification. You should be willing to participate in on-call schedules, weekend change schedules, and work on 24/7 rotational shifts. As a VDI Engineer, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and operational management of the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. This role demands a strong understanding of VDI technologies such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop, underlying virtualization platforms, and related infrastructure components. You will ensure the stability, performance, and availability of virtual desktops and published applications for end-users, resolving complex incidents, and contributing to continuous service improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Incident Resolution & Advanced Troubleshooting - VDI System Administration & Maintenance - Manage and maintain master images (golden images) - Oversee user profile management solutions - Implement and manage VDI policies via Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and VDI-specific management consoles - Monitor VDI infrastructure health, resource utilization, and user experience metrics In this role, you will be required to analyze logs, performance metrics, and system data to identify root causes of recurring VDI problems. You will also be responsible for administering and maintaining VDI systems, including managing master images, overseeing user profile management solutions, and implementing VDI policies. Monitoring VDI infrastructure health and user experience metrics will also be part of your duties.
