Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to join our mechanical workshop team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in operating lathe machines for shaping, cutting, and finishing components with high accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate lathe machine to perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, and finishing operations.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and machining instructions.
• Measure finished components using instruments like vernier caliper, micrometer, and dial gauges.
• Ensure precision and quality of machined parts as per specifications.
• Maintain machine tools and follow daily maintenance routines.
• Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines and PPE protocols.
• Work closely with the fabrication and mechanical maintenance team for job planning.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in lathe machine operation.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and measuring instruments.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• Experience in machining industrial and custom parts is preferred.
• ITI or Diploma in Fitter/Turner/Mechanical preferred.
