Job Description

As a Welfare Officer, your primary role is to maintain harmonious relations between management and blue-collar staff while ensuring their well-being in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee or support the Admin department in providing essential welfare amenities such as canteen facilities, sanitation, working conditions, health services, and drinking water. - Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to working hours, safety regulations, and breaks in coordination with the HR and Admin teams. - Address personal and work-related issues of employees, escalating them when necessary. - Conduct training sessions on company policies, employee rights, and welfare schemes. - Support productivity improvement initiatives for supervisory and lower-level staff. - Educate employees on health and safety practices and collaborate on accident prevention efforts with the Admin department. - Monitor and ensure compliance with working hours, particularly overtime regulations. - Organize or assist in employee engagement activities and recognition programs. - Monitor the employee satisfaction index and identify areas for improvement. - Maintain records of grievances and ensure compliance with labor laws. - Investigate and resolve employee grievances to foster harmonious relations among workers. - Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to effectively communicate with employees and mediate disputes. - Build trust and rapport with employees from diverse backgrounds. Qualification Required: - Masters degree in Social Welfare from a recognized University. - Effective communication skills. - Sound knowledge of manufacturing industry laws. - 5 to 7 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, requiring in-person work at the designated location.
