1. Performing Typhoid-Specific Laboratory Tests: Conducting laboratory tests specifically designed for the detection and diagnosis of typhoid fever, including culture-based methods, serological tests, molecular techniques such as PCR and antimicrobial sensitivity testing.
2. Sample Handling and Processing: Ensuring proper handling, processing, and storage of clinical samples collected for typhoid testing to maintain sample integrity and prevent contamination.
3. Isolation and Identification of Typhoid Pathogens: Isolating and identifying Salmonella Typhi or Salmonella Paratyphi bacteria from clinical specimens, such as blood using appropriate culture and biochemical techniques.
4. Quality Control and Assurance: Implementing quality control measures to ensure the accuracy, precision, and reliability of typhoid test results, including participation in proficiency testing programs and regular calibration of laboratory equipment.
5. Data Recording and Reporting: Documenting all laboratory test results accurately and timely in the laboratory information management system (LIMS) or other designated record-keeping systems and preparing reports for clinicians and public health authorities as required.
6. Adherence to Biosafety Protocols: Strictly adhering to biosafety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of laboratory-acquired infections and ensure a safe working environment for laboratory staff.
7. Continuing Education and Training: Engaging in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest developments in typhoid diagnostics, laboratory techniques, and relevant regulations or guidelines.
8. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including clinicians, epidemiologists, and public health officials, and maintaining clear communication channels regarding laboratory findings and recommendations. Under this following tasks are also involved
9. Any Other Duties as Assigned: Undertaking additional tasks or responsibilities related to testing as assigned by laboratory management or in response to public health emergencies or specific program needs.
Eligibility Criteria for Lab Technicians:
The candidates must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for the position.

Age Maximum: 35 Yrs
Educational Qualification He/She must have • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) from a recognized institution, OR • Bachelors Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT), OR • B.Sc. in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field
Nationality Must be a citizen of India
Experience No prior experience is required
Skills Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
