LAB TECHNICIAN
Lab Technician performs his duties diligently and methodically to analyze specimens allotted to him.
Sample Receiving as per preanalytical acceptance criteria and proper Segregation of Samples
Rejecting Improper samples and timely informing superiors.
Observes all laboratory safety precautions in the handling of clinical specimens and running of tests.
Maintains integrity in testing/reporting/confidentiality
Follows the ethics and Quality policy of the organization
Continuously upgrades his knowledge and skills as per the requirement of the job
Ensuring proper maintenance of all equipments including daily, weekly and monthly maintenance
To ensure proper quality control protocols are followed in day today working.
Identifies and communicates abnormal patient conditions and critical alerts.
o Obtaining clinical history and correlating with sample for abnormal results.
Escalating identified issues to designated supervisor
Assisting in preparation of Test SOPs.
Timely Reporting of Sample Tests as per TAT
Entry of test results by interfacing and saving the reports in LIS for final approval by the Authorized signatory.
Handling inter-department queries.
Following proper quality control protocol and corrective
