About the role
Dr. John Arthur Ortho Hospital is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will perform routine laboratory tests, maintain equipment, ensure sample integrity, and support clinicians with timely and accurate results.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, label and process patient specimens (blood, urine, swabs, etc.).
• Perform routine hematology, biochemistry and basic microbiology tests.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain lab equipment; follow QC procedures.
• Record and report results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain infection control, safety and sample storage protocols.
• Keep inventory of consumables and assist with ordering.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory documentation and compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications & skills

• Diploma/Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
• Knowledge of common lab tests, equipment and quality control.
• Attention to detail, good record-keeping and ability to work in a team.
• Basic computer skills.
