Lab Supervisor

Role Overview: As a Senior Lab Technician in Bhubaneshwar, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the quality control procedures are followed and daily checks are conducted. You will also be required to maintain quality documentation as per lab policies and procedures. Additionally, you will be responsible for training Medical Technologists and Medical Lab Technicians on automated instruments and in-house standard operating procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Perform internal quality control procedures and daily QC checks - Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments/equipment - Provide training to Medical Technologists/Medical Lab Technicians - Maintain laboratory raw data and computer database - Compile and monitor quality indicators - Resolve complaints and issues through RCA and documentation - Monitor and comply with biomedical waste management procedures - Report critical values and confirm read back - Test samples, enter reports, verify and interpret data - Store and discard samples according to retention period - Review reference range variations periodically - Manage outsourced samples testing - Perform LIS transition checks and verification bugs - Troubleshoot equipment and reagent problems - Coordinate with equipment engineers for issue resolution - Follow TAT standards and publish monthly MIS reports - Perform inter-instrument comparisons - Provide clinical correlation of reports and communicate effectively - Validate and verify new tests or kits - Verify new reagent or kit lots and shipment - Maintain reagent or kit stock, indent and issue - Conduct microscopic examinations - Enter patient data into the accession register - Prepare duty roster for lab personnel - Costing of intra-lab tests with HO delegate - Ensure compliance with accreditation guidelines, ISO 15189, NABL 112, and lab procedures - Provide support during new lab launches or relevant setups Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in a similar role - Degree in Medical Technology or related field - Certification in Quality Control or Laboratory Management preferred (Note: Additional details about the company were not provided in the job description.),
