Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Senior Analyst / Analyst (Laboratory Chemist) with sound knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements to support laboratory testing operations. The candidate should be capable of performing testing activities accurately, maintaining quality systems, and ensuring compliance with laboratory standards.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented, and will assist in sample preparation, analysis, documentation, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for Food, Water, and Soil testing.

Key Responsibilities.

• Operate, maintain, and ensure proper functioning oflaboratory instruments including pH meter, spectrophotometer, analytical balances, and incubator.
• Perform testing of samples strictly as per relevant test methods, SOPs, NABL guidelines, and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
• Prepare reagents, standards, and solutions, and ensure proper calibration and verification of instruments and equipment.
• Plan, understand, and complete allocated work within stipulated timelines with accuracy and precision, in coordination with the respective Section In-Charge.
• Carry out laboratory environmental monitoring, equipment temperature monitoring, and intermediate checks as per defined schedules.
• Verify instrument and equipment performance before use to ensure reliable test results.
• Carry out calibration of instruments, equipment, and glassware as per standard operating procedures.
• Ensure advance intimation and availability of chemicals, consumables, and accessories required for laboratory operations.
• Maintain, standardize, and verify Certified Reference Materials (CRM) / Reference Materials (RM).
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, housekeeping, and good laboratory practices at all times.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and traceable technical and analytical records.
• Comply with the laboratory quality policy, quality objectives, and management system requirements.

Qualifications Required

• B.Sc / M.Sc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Food Science from a recognized university.

Skills Required

• Good analytical and observation skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to follow instructions, SOPs, and maintain documentation.
• Time management & willingness to learn.
• Teamwork and communication skills.
