Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for coordinating with PQM Lab Manager for planning the chemical testing of monthly benchmarking & complaint cement samples, submitted to PQM lab.
Well adept with Indian Standards for Chemical testing of cement samples
Responsible for planning & conducting all the Chemical tests & allied analysis of cement (benchmarking studies and complaint) samples, in an orderly manner, as per timelines.
Systematically maintain records and periodically update the test results in MS Excel/One drive (as per approved formats) to PQM Lab Manager
Monitor & maintain the lab conditions as per Indian standard requirements
Operate chemical testing instruments (muffle furnace, analytical balance, titration setup, hot plate etc.) & prepare reagents and solutions with accuracy.
Ensure proper sample receipt, labeling, and traceability.
Maintain chemical registers, SOPs, and compliance documents.
Maintain stock record of consumable items in cement mortar lab and periodically update it to PQM Lab Manager for timely re-purchase
Responsible for AMCs, calibration, periodic repair & maintenance of chemical testing equipment.
Responsible for training & demonstration of chemical testing of cement & procedure to newly joined off role/on-role TS officials, masons & contractors
Follow laboratory safety, housekeeping, and waste disposal norms
