Lab Chemist

Lab Chemist :

The Lab Chemist will be responsible for conducting chemical analyses, formulation development, and quality testing of agrochemical products including pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, and fertilizers. The role requires strong knowledge of organic/inorganic chemistry and experience with laboratory instruments and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and test new formulations of agrochemicals (liquids, powders, granules, emulsions).

Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.

Perform stability studies and compatibility testing of products.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and environmental safety standards (e.g., BIS, FCO, CPCB, etc.).

Prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs), batch manufacturing records (BMR), and test reports.

Support the production team with scale-up activities and troubleshooting.

Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, and documentation as per GLP (Good Laboratory Practices).

Keep records of all experiments, tests, and results for future reference and regulatory audits.

*Qualifications & Skills:*

Education : B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Agricultural Chemistry, or related field.

Experience : 6 months or 1 year of lab experience in agrochemical, pesticide, or chemical industry.

Strong understanding of agrochemical formulation and testing techniques.

Proficiency in using analytical equipment and interpreting results.

Knowledge of regulatory standards like ISO, FCO, BIS, REACH is a plus.

Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.

Good communication and teamwork abilities.
