Lab Assistant - Construction material testing - From Real Estate co.

Job description:

We are looking for a Lab Assistant to join our our Quality control team. The ideal candidate will assist in performing tests on construction materials—both in the laboratory and at project sites—to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine laboratory and on-site tests for construction materials (concrete, soil, aggregates).

- Assist in sample collection, preparation, and testing as per standard procedures.

- Perform on-site tests such as slump tests, soil compaction tests, and casting concrete cubes/cylinders.

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment; ensure timely calibration.

- Record accurate observations and results in testing logs and sheets.

- Prepare detailed test reports and coordinate with the QC team.

- Follow IS codes and project-specific testing standards.

- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment.

- Support QC engineers in material quality verification activities.

Qualification & Skills:

- B.Sc. (Chemistry/Physics/Geology preferred).

- Basic knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures.

- Ability to follow SOPs and technical instructions.

- Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills.

- Good communication and teamwork abilities.

- Willingness to work in both lab and on-site settings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
