Job Description:

The Computer Lab Assistant will support the smooth functioning of the university’s computer lab. The role involves maintaining computer systems, assisting students and faculty during lab sessions, and ensuring all equipment and software are in proper working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain computers, printers, and other lab equipment.
• Install and update software as required for academic use.
• Assist students and faculty with technical issues during practical sessions.
• Maintain records of lab usage, equipment inventory, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure network connectivity and report technical problems to the IT department.
• Follow safety and security guidelines for lab operations.
• Support faculty in conducting lab examinations and assessments.

Required Skills:

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assist multiple users efficiently and maintain discipline in the lab.

Experience:

• Fresh graduates may apply.
• Prior experience in a computer lab or technical support role will be an added advantage.
