Job Description

The ideal candidate for the Network L3 position should possess strong technical skills in Switching & Routing, as well as expertise in Firewall technologies such as Palo Alto and Cisco ASA. Technical Skills: You should have a solid understanding of networking protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, and BGP. It is important to have experience in configuring and troubleshooting various network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Familiarity with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, and Wireshark is a plus. A basic knowledge of network security principles and tools is also required. Experience with wireless networks and cloud-based networking platforms such as AWS and Azure would be beneficial. Network Support and Troubleshooting: As a Network L3 engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support for network-related issues escalated from Level 1 and L2 support teams. Your role will involve troubleshooting and resolving issues with network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Collaborating with internal teams or vendors to identify and resolve network problems related to connectivity, configuration, performance, and security is a key aspect of this position. Configuration and Setup: You will be tasked with configuring and deploying network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and other infrastructure devices. Additionally, you will implement and manage Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), IP addressing, and subnetting. Network Monitoring: Continuous monitoring of network performance to identify potential issues or bottlenecks is essential. Using network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, and Nagios to analyze traffic patterns, detect faults, and enhance network reliability will be part of your responsibilities. Security and Compliance: You will assist in maintaining network security measures including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs). Monitoring for security incidents and implementing corrective measures to mitigate risks will also be a crucial aspect of your role. Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate network documentation such as IP address schemes, network diagrams, and configurations is imperative. Providing detailed reports on network performance, resolved issues, and actions taken for management or troubleshooting purposes is also expected. Continuous Improvement: Participating in network capacity planning and suggesting improvements to enhance network efficiency, performance, and scalability will be part of your ongoing responsibilities. Staying updated with the latest networking technologies and applying them to improve operations is essential for this role. This is a full-time position with a rotational shift schedule and requires in-person work at the specified location.,
