Job Description

Job Summary

Were looking for a Java Developer who also has strong hands-on experience with Kotlin. The role involves building backend services, writing clean and scalable code and contributing to architecture decisions across microservices and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services using Java and Kotlin. Build RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems. Write clean, testable and maintainable code following best practices. Work with microservices architecture, messaging systems and distributed design patterns. Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues. Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to ensure smooth deployments and stable releases. Participate in code reviews, design discussions and sprint activities. Maintain documentation for services, APIs and technical workflows.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience in Java (Java 8 or above). Practical working experience with Kotlin in production environments. Solid understanding of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data and related frameworks. Experience with REST APIs, JSON, authentication and security basics. Good understanding of microservices, event driven design and messaging tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ. Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows and containerization using Docker. Strong debugging and problem solving skills.

Good to Have

Experience with reactive programming (Reactor, Coroutines). Familiarity with Kubernetes, cloud environments or serverless setups. Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito or Kotest. Exposure to performance tuning.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
