Junior Test Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Engineering graduate

   (B.E./B.Tech) from any discipline.
• Less than 1 year of training or experience in software testing concepts.
• Basic understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with

  Manual

   testing,

  ETL

   Testing and

  Automation

   Testing .
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong

  communication

   and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with automation tools and ETL processes is a plus.

Preferred candidate profile

Primary Skills:

• Strong understanding of

  Software Testing concepts

   (SDLC, STLC, Defect Life Cycle)

• Manual Testing

    Functional, Regression, Integration, and System Testing

• Test Case Design, Execution, and Reporting

• Defect Tracking

   using tools like

  Jira

   or

  Azure DevOps

• Requirement Analysis

   and understanding of test documentation (Test Plan, Test Scenarios, Test Cases)
• Basic knowledge of

  SQL

   for data verification and validation

Secondary Skills:

• Basic understanding of

  Automation Testing

  concepts (Selenium, Python, or Java)

• Exposure to

  API Testing

  tools such as

  Postman

  or

  Swagger

• Awareness of

  ETL/Data Testing

  fundamentals

• Familiarity with

  Version Control Systems

  (Git/GitHub)

• Good

  analytical, communication, and problem-solving

  skills

• Strong

  team collaboration

  and willingness to learn emerging testing tools and technologies

• Domain if applicable:
• Life Sciences domain knowledge would be an added advantage, though not mandatory.
