Junior Safety Officer

Job Description: You will be responsible for assisting in enforcing company safety policies, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe working environment in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Your main duties will include: - Assisting in implementing and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures. - Conducting regular site inspections and safety audits under supervision. - Reporting and documenting unsafe acts or conditions and recommending corrective actions. - Supporting investigations of accidents, near misses, or incidents and helping maintain detailed records. - Participating in safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks. - Assisting in maintaining records of safety drills, risk assessments, and safety equipment. - Ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all staff. - Staying informed about relevant health and safety regulations and best practices. Qualifications: - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. - Certification in First Aid, Fire Safety, or relevant HSE courses is an advantage. - Basic knowledge of workplace safety laws and regulations. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Good attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Experience: - 2 years of experience in a safety-related role, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments. - Familiarity with safety inspection tools and report writing.
