Junior Quantitative Analyst (Equities)

As a Junior Quantitative Analyst in our equities team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, developing, and monitoring quantitative models to enhance trading strategies and investment decisions. With 2-3 years of experience in the equities space, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned professionals and contribute to the creation of innovative investment approaches. Your responsibilities will include collecting, cleaning, and analyzing extensive datasets related to equity markets. You will also assist in back testing and model development to support trading strategies. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring and evaluating the performance of quantitative models in real-time and historically. Moreover, you will prepare automated reports on model performance and market conditions to aid in decision-making processes. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree will be advantageous. Your technical skills should encompass strong programming abilities in any language, particularly Python. Proficiency in SQL and data visualization will be beneficial. Your analytical prowess, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail will be critical in interpreting complex data and generating actionable insights. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of financial instruments, market microstructure, and trading strategies. Familiarity with risk management principles, as well as quantitative finance tools like optimizations, risk models, and regression analysis, will be valued.
