Junior PHP Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for web development and a solid understanding of PHP and related technologies. You will assist in building, testing, and maintaining web applications and work closely with senior developers and designers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented PHP code
• Assist in the development and maintenance of web applications and backend systems
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements
• Troubleshoot and debug existing applications
• Work with databases (MySQL or similar) to manage data
• Participate in code reviews and team meetings
• Stay updated with emerging web technologies and industry trends

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Basic knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Basic experience with version control systems like Git
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Exposure to PHP frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Familiarity with MVC architecture
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix command line
