Job Description

Core Java & Backend Development

Strong hands-on experience with Java (Java 8 or above) including collections, concurrency, streams, and memory management.
Working knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security) for building enterprise-grade applications.
Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and design patterns in large-scale systems.

Build & DevOps Tools

Working knowledge of Git, including branching strategies (Git Flow), merge conflict resolution, and pull request reviews.
Hands-on experience with Jenkins for configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines, including automated builds, testing, and deployments.
Familiarity with Maven or Gradle for build lifecycle and dependency management.
Basic knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is an advantage.

Testing & Quality

Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber for unit and integration testing.
Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) approaches.
Familiarity with code quality tools like SonarQube for static analysis and technical debt management.

Database & Persistence/ Integration

Experience in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) with ORM tools like Hibernate or JPA.
Exposure to SOAP/REST web services, XML/XSD,

Soft Skills

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with global teams.
Ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Develop, and implement high-quality Java applications in alignment with business goals and technical specifications.
Assist in backend development for web and enterprise applications by writing modular and reusable Java code.
Maintain clean, well-commented, and testable code according to internal coding guidelines
Build and maintain integrations with internal and external systems, leveraging APIs, queues, and batch processes.
Ensure code quality through test-driven development (TDD), automated testing, and continuous integration (CI) practices.
Manage Git-based version control workflows, including branching strategies, code merges, and release tagging.
Experience working with IDEs like Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA.
Eagerness to learn and grow within a team.
Notify the manager proactively if additional guidance or clarification is required for any assigned task or feature.
