Junior IT Support Associate

As a Junior IT Associate at Perch Energy, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive technical support to our global workforce. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring the smooth operation of end-user devices, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our IT support services. Your dedication to providing 24x5 support to our users will be crucial in maintaining a seamless IT environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide technical support for MAC and Windows operating systems, ensuring optimal performance of end-user devices - Utilize Jira for efficient ticket management to ensure timely handling of user requests and incidents - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address user needs and deliver effective technical support using Jira - Document IT support processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines for consistent service delivery - Monitor and analyze support metrics to identify areas for improvement and contribute to implementing corrective actions - Stay updated with the latest technology trends in IT support to foster continuous learning and professional growth - Collaborate with other IT teams to implement and maintain global IT infrastructure, systems, and applications - Seek guidance and support from senior IT support technicians to enhance technical skills and knowledge - Provide end-user training and create user-friendly documentation to enhance understanding and utilization of IT resources **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - Basic understanding of supporting MAC and Windows operating systems - Demonstrated interest in IT support through coursework, internships, or personal projects - Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems is a plus - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and users - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and guidelines - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities - Willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic IT support environment Perch Energy is a leading community solar servicer dedicated to making renewable energy more accessible and inclusive.
