Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Junior Interior Designer with 3–5 years of experience to join our design team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing precise and comprehensive Good for Construction (GFC) drawings and will contribute to material selection based on current market trends and project requirements. This role demands a strong technical foundation, up-to-date material knowledge, and the ability to convert design intent into executable documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and accurate Good for Construction (GFC) drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, joinery, and detailed millwork drawings.

Ensure that all construction drawings align with the design intent, site requirements, and relevant codes and standards.

Work closely with the AGM – Design and the senior design team to understand project goals and support in technical execution.

Coordinate with MEP and structural consultants to ensure proper integration of services in the drawings.

Participate in the review and redlining of drawings during internal and client design reviews.

Assist in material selection, specification, and presentation, ensuring alignment with the design concept, budget, and availability.

Stay informed on current market trends, new materials, finishes, and technologies, and suggest innovative solutions during the design process.

Interact with vendors and suppliers to gather technical data, samples, and quotations.

Support in site coordination and respond to contractor queries related to drawings and materials.

Maintain documentation logs and ensure timely updates of all design deliverables.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.

3–5 years of hands-on experience in interior design documentation and detailing.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite is a plus.

In-depth knowledge of GFC documentation standards, technical detailing, and joinery.

Sound understanding of interior materials, finishes, and their practical applications.

Awareness of current interior design trends and the ability to apply them to projects.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.
