Junior Devops Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team. The role primarily focuses on server maintenance and administration across cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, as well as shared hosting providers (GoDaddy, Hostinger, Interserver, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release management, with a strong willingness to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers across AWS, Azure, and shared hosting environments.
• Perform routine server health checks, security patching, and backups.
• Configure and manage web hosting environments including cPanel, Plesk, and custom setups.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Support release management by automating deployments and monitoring releases.
• Work closely with developers to debug issues and ensure application uptime.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Implement basic monitoring and alerting tools for proactive server management.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration and shell scripting.
• Understanding of cloud environments (AWS EC2, S3, RDS, IAM; Azure VMs, Storage).
• Familiarity with web servers (Apache, Nginx) and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Exposure to DNS management, SSL configuration, and domain setup.
• Hands-on with Git and understanding of CI/CD principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Good to Have (Optional) :

• Familiarity with Docker and basic container concepts.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other automation tools.
• Understanding of networking basics (firewalls, VPNs, load balancers).
• Exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or New Relic. |

Education :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
