Junior Design Engineer

As a Junior Design Engineer with 12 years of experience in utility pole design and make-ready engineering, you will be responsible for working on U.S.-based telecom and power infrastructure projects. You will utilize tools such as Katapult, O-Calc, and AutoCAD to prepare detailed construction packages. Your experience with MREs or understanding of aerial/underground utility networks will be invaluable in this role. **Responsibilities:** - Create make-ready engineering (MRE) designs for telecom/power poles. - Utilize Katapult Pro and O-Calc Pro for pole loading, clearance checks, and structural validations. - Interpret field photos, survey notes, and GIS data for design accuracy. - Prepare permit-ready documents according to U.S. client standards (NESC, GO95, etc.). - Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers for QA and delivery timelines. - Maintain structured documentation and change logs. **Requirements:** - B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. - 12 years of experience in utility design or telecom projects. - Proficiency in at least two of the following: Katapult Pro, O-Calc Pro, AutoCAD. - Strong understanding of pole loading principles and NESC guidelines. - Ability to work night shifts if required for U.S. collaboration. - Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation habits. **Bonus If You Have:** - Experience working with U.S.-based utility clients. - Experience preparing permit packages and As-Built drawings. - Familiarity with GIS mapping or CAD automation tools.
