Junior Design Engineer – Utilities (1–2 Years Exp) Location: Hyderabad, India Type: Full-Time Experience: 1–2 years About the Role We’re hiring a Junior Design Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in utility pole design and make-ready engineering. You’ll work on U.S.-based telecom and power infrastructure projects, using Katapult, O-Calc, and AutoCAD to prepare detailed construction packages. If you’ve worked on MREs or understand aerial/underground utility networks then this role is built for you. Responsibilities • Create make-ready engineering (MRE) designs for telecom/power poles. • Use Katapult Pro and O-Calc Pro for pole loading, clearance checks, and structural validations. • Read and interpret field photos, survey notes, and GIS data for design accuracy. • Prepare permit-ready documents as per U.S. client standards (NESC, GO95, etc.). • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers for QA and delivery timelines. • Maintain structured documentation and change logs. Requirements • B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. • 1–2 years of experience in utility design or telecom projects. • Proficiency in at least two of the following: Katapult Pro, O-Calc Pro, AutoCAD. • Strong understanding of pole loading principles and NESC guidelines. • Ability to work on night shifts (if required for U.S. collaboration). • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation habits.
