Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Data Scientist join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining data integrity, performing data cleaning tasks, and supporting the generation of key data reports. Role & responsibilities Clean, validate, and prepare large datasets to ensure consistency and reliability Assist in the extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) of data across internal and external sources Support the maintenance of data pipelines and documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and help ensure data availability and quality Write SQL queries for data validation, reporting, and troubleshooting purposes Use Python for data extraction, manipulation, analysis, visualizations and automation (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn, BeautifulSoup) Contribute to regular and ad-hoc reporting tasks using Excel and BI tools like Tableau or Looker Studio Work alongside senior analysts and data scientists to support ongoing projects, contributing to data preparation, analysis, and meaningful insights wherever possible Support the development and testing of basic machine learning models Preferred candidate profile Bachelors degree in engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field. Proficient in Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, and data visualization Hands-on experience with SQL for writing complex queries Proficient in Python for data analysis; familiarity with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy Solid understanding of data cleaning techniques, validation processes, and foundational data warehousing concepts Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into actionable data tasks Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
