Job Purpose:

Job Responsibilities:

• Clinical Responsibility:

  1. Perform and document history & physical examination 2. Formulate differential diagnosis 3. Develops and documents initial plan of care* 4. Modifies daily plan of care* 5. Writes daily progress notes 6. Obtain and document informed consent 7. Order appropriate referrals* 8. Order appropriate investigations* 9. Perform & interpret echo cardiography 10. Interpret ECG 11. Conduct OPD in the absence of Cardiologist 12. Interpret hemodynamic parameters in critically ill patients* 13. Interpret laboratory & radiology results* 14. Orders transfusions of blood and blood products* 15. Order appropriate medication and other orders 16. Prepare an appropriate discharge summary

• Administrative:

  1. Perform cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation

• Clinical Invasive Management:

  1. Inserts central venous catheter* 2. Assist cardiologist in Cath lab procedures 3. Independently perform Cath lab procedures under supervision 4. All invasive procedures to be done under supervision 5. Performs oral endotracheal intubation 6. Performs nasogastric intubation 7. Inserts invasive lines for monitoring*
