Junior Buyer

Key Responsibilities

• Update and monitor stock movement, markdowns, promotions, and clearance activities.
• Work closely with vendors to resolve issues promptly and maintain accurate vendor information.
• Manage product samples and coordinate with internal photoshoot or content teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Use analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making to increase volumes, improve margins, and identify cost-optimization opportunities.
• Conduct competition mapping and maintain strong knowledge of industry trends and brands.
• Ensure the company's product selection stays competitive and aligned with market expectations.
• Identify opportunities for future growth and contribute ideas for business improvement.
• Develop and implement industry best practices in category operations.
• Understand customer behavior and demand trends within the kidswear segment.
• Ensure assortment completeness by identifying and onboarding suitable brands to achieve assortment goals.
• Address category gaps by bringing in top-performing brands, launching new price points, and improving product conversion and topline performance through a stronger assortment.
  

Required Skills

What We Are Looking For

• Educational background: NIFT or MBA preferred, with a minimum of 23 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience in e-commerce retail, especially in kidswear, is an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels; proven experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
