Junior Buyer

As a Supply Chain Specialist at our company, you will play a crucial role in managing stock movement, promotions, and vendor relationships. Your responsibilities will include: - Updating and monitoring stock movement, markdowns, promotions, and clearance activities. - Working closely with vendors to resolve issues promptly and maintain accurate vendor information. - Managing product samples and coordinating with internal photoshoot or content teams. - Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. - Using analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making to increase volumes, improve margins, and identify cost-optimization opportunities. - Conducting competition mapping and maintaining strong knowledge of industry trends and brands. - Ensuring the company's product selection stays competitive and aligned with market expectations. - Identifying opportunities for future growth and contributing ideas for business improvement. - Developing and implementing industry best practices in category operations. - Understanding customer behavior and demand trends within the kidswear segment. - Ensuring assortment completeness by identifying and onboarding suitable brands to achieve assortment goals. - Addressing category gaps by bringing in top-performing brands, launching new price points, and improving product conversion and topline performance through a stronger assortment. Qualifications required for this role include: - Educational background: NIFT or MBA preferred, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. - Proficiency in MS Office. - Experience in e-commerce retail, especially in kidswear, is an added advantage. - Strong negotiation and influencing skills. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. - Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and levels; proven experience leading cross-functional projects. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.
