Job Overview

Position: Junior Baker
Location: Multiple Locations (Delhi NCR / Bengaluru / Mumbai)
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience: 0.5 – 1 year in Bakery Operations
As a Junior Baker at Salad Days, you’ll assist in the preparation of baked goods while learning and applying core bakery techniques. This is a growth-oriented role ideal for individuals with foundational baking skills and a desire to grow in a professional kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in producing bakery items, ensuring consistency and quality
Operate bakery equipment under supervision and ensure proper maintenance
Follow standardized recipes and instructions precisely
Handle hot or hazardous baking items with care and caution
Participate in daily inventory counts and report stock levels
Package and store bakery products correctly
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all baking areas
Attend daily production meetings and execute assigned tasks on time
Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols diligently
Support mise en place planning and execution

Requirements

Education: Diploma in Bakery (mandatory)
Training: Industrial training required; on-the-job bakery training preferred
Experience: 0.5 – 1 year of practical bakery experience
Understanding of Metric and Imperial measurement systems
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with precision
Comfortable working in hot and humid kitchen environments
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Intermediate understanding of bakery operations and mise en place techniques
Good verbal and written communication skills
